I have visited their few yrs back. Not much of the places are nearby to it to visit. One holy place is nanakmatta 40Kms from tanakpur …few temples over their and another place called boom(dont remember exact name) where pilgrims take holy dip in river sharda….

you ca also go to Mahendranagar which is in Nepal and can also see the Dam built on the Sharda River.
