Valley of Flowers is an exceptionally beautiful high-altitude Himalayan valley splashed with colour as it bloomed with hundreds different beautiful flowers, some very rare ones like Brahm Kamal, Blue Poppy, Cobra Lily etc, taking on various shades of colours as time progressed. Lots of mythological legends are associated with this valley; the most popular one is that this is the valley where Shri Hanuman searched for Sanjeevani Buti to cure Shri Laxman.

Today VOF is a UNESCO World heritage site and hundreds of people come to this meadow to see the nature’s most outstanding beauty.

Itinerary – 4 Sept – 8 Sept, 2010

04 Sept 2010 (Day 1- Saturday): Rishikesh to Joshimath (Road – 270 kms)
• Halt in Rishikesh for 4-5 Hrs, relax for few hours
• Leave by 7:30 a.m. for Joshimath after breakfast
• Stop enroute at Rudraprayag
• Meals included in Package – Dinner

05 Sept 2010 (Day 2- Sunday): Joshimath to Govindghat to Ghangharia (Road – 20 Kms; Trek 15 Kms)
• Leave by 7:00 a.m. for Govindghat
• Trekking for the Valley of Flowers base camp start after breakfast from Govindghat
• Camping at Ghangharia
• Meals included in the package – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

06 Sept 2010 (Day 3- Monday): Ghangharia to Valley of Flowers and back (Trek 3+3 Kms)
• Chase the Monday blues away by spending the day at valley of flowers splashed with colours all over.
• Overnight stay at the camps
• Meals included in the Package – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

07 September 2010 (Day 4- Tuesday): Ghangharia to Hemkund Sahib and back (Trek 5+5 Kms)
• Overnight stay at camp
• Meals included in the Package – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

08 September 2010 (Day 5- Wednesday): Ghangharia to Govindghat and Rishikesh (Downhill Trek 15 Kms)
Proceed for Govindghat after breakfast and drive back to Rishikesh.
• Meals included in the Package: Breakfast

Charges: vXplor package costs Rs. 13,500 with travel (from Rishikesh to Rishikesh), Rs 8500 (Without Conveyance from Govindghat to Govindghat) stay on twin sharing camps.
Note:
• You should be moderately fit. Aspirants with a history of breathing trouble, heart disease, vertigo, physical disability, etc. should not opt.
• Please avoid bringing valuables, jewellery, electronic gadgets or expensive things. We take no responsibility for anything that gets misplaced.
• Carry all your emergency medicines.
• Travel as light as possible.
• Carry light woolens/ windcheater & raincoat.

Payment Options:

What’s Included?
• Meals as indicated above. All meals would be vegetarian. Meals would cooked by the cook where ever camping
• Mules from Govindghat to Ghangharia & back. Mules would be used for camping equipments.
• All Camping equipments.
• Forest permits and entry fees.
• Accommodation on twin sharing basis.

What’s Excluded?
• To & fro from pick up/ meeting point in Delhi.
• Any expense of personal nature or not mentioned above.
• Any kind of medical expenses.
• Any costs arising due to unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc.
• Any personal travel expense.
• Any photography, video or still camera charges
• Travel Insurance
