Which mode of transport should I choose to reach Agra from Delhi and is it preferred to go and come back from the place in a day’s time?

I often go to Agra by road and return on the same day. However, your journey totally depends upon the motive. If you want to see places there then you would have to spend a whole day at that place and this won’t be possible in one day. Whether you go their by road or by train a tourism purpose could not be solved in a single day so it’s better to book some hotel or resort at that place. However, if some personal work is lined up there then you can choose between any of the mode because this depends on the time you are going to spend there.
Road and rail, both the mediums are not having any drawbacks from Delhi to Agra but your purpose of the journey matters a lot. Many people head to the place in order to visit Taj Mahal only. If this is the only desire then you can choose the road route which will take time but, you can still go and return from the place in a day’s time. But, if time is an issue with you, it’s better not to experiment and catch a simple train which can make you reach at your destination in the least time.
