Changing surname in the passport after marriage

My wife is having her passport with her own surname. she did not change her surname after marriage. The same name is in my passport in ‘Spouse’ column and my two children also have the same name.

This is her first abroad trip.Now we want to travel abroad and after settling down in the Indian embassy we want to apply for my wife’s surname change in her passport and effecting the changes in my passport and my kids passports. Is it possible in the new country?

    Why do you want to get into the hassle of getting the sir names changes…It does not matter, it doesn’t have to be the same.
