I was thinking abt Manali, but not sure if Rohtang Pass is open during May ? I would prefer some place where I could find temp. of around 10-20 deg. celcius.
Kamal
dont go to Manali…. Rohtang pass will open around June / July. Also, the temp will be slightly on a higher side.

i have been to keylong recently through Manali/rohtang.. The routes are open and there was lot of snow. weather was also good, it must be around 4-5′C in the night at rohtang/keylong though manali was not very cold. Its better you go as early as possible as the snow starts to melt mid June onwards. But as such manali is not worth going in case you don’t go to Rohtang and this is time to go there as the routes are open to Rohtang.
i hope this helps

If you want to go to crowded places you can go to Manali, Shimla, Mussorie, Nanital, Darjleeng, Dalhousie, Dharmsala etc and if you want to go off beat places you can go to Kanatal, Chopta, Valley of flowers, Sangla Valley, Har ki Dun, Chail, Sarahan, I have many names but they all are around 500kms from Delhi. I have been to Chopta, Sarahan and Sangla, Kalpa valley and now planning to go to Valley of Flowers.
Deepak
How far is Valley of flowers, and is it accessible through the road?
Peeush
Yes,You have done more work on Himalayas places. But this is not good time to go Valley of Flowers,Mid of July is the best time for it that time flowers are blossoming.

Try Kinnaur- more than 500 kms from Delhi,. but a nice and tranquil place. However, you would need at least 5 days to really enjoy.
Or Nainital/ Kasauli could be good options. There is another option in Auli- which i believe is good for skiing, and is more than 3000 metres above mean sea level.
