Has anybody done online registration of pasport application under Ghaziabad jurisdiction? Does it really helps doing registration online and then submitting the application on appointed date and time?

I have done it recently. It does help but not in the big way you may be imagining. First you have nicely printed filled form with very less of handwritten stuff (chance of error is less), but contrary to the claim, you still need to reach there well before the given time and go through the process you otherwise would have faced. You will not get any advantage over others who have not done online registration. Downside is – you can’t go on earlier date as given by the online registration process but you can go to passport office on any day of choice if you don’t register it online. In case of tatkal scheme, online registration has no significance
