You need to negotiate here and you can get around 50% Off season discount. It got a little disc too. You will get a room in off season rates around 750Rs per day. Its only 300 to 400 mtrs above the mall road.

Been to ambassador resort Manali and loved it. Although it’s around 1km from the main city, but the view from there, their services, their food… it’s awesome.
During low season, you can get a 3 Nights/ 4 days package for Rs. 14,000 (which includes breakfast and dinner). They have a library, bar, discotheque, fire place, gymnasium,etc. and also provide travel advisory & taxi’s. If you need more info…. ping / email me. Whispering Rocks in Manali
Whispering Rocks in Manali… It has the best location away from the city core… it is around 7-8 km from main bus stand on way to Rohtang Pass and has great views ..Simply the best location if you have your own car..

Check Snow Valley Resort it’s a 3* hotel. A 3N/4D package would cost around 6k in season on MAP basis. Check for the off season offers. You can also check travelguru.com for other options.
