Rishikesh is now crowded with rafting operators…infact the place where camping and rafting started first was shivpuri but now its too crowded, below are some questions that you need to ask the rafting provider before finalizing the deal:
List of Questions to ask before finalizing your rafting
1. Stretch of Rafting – 16Kms (Shivpuri to Rishikesh), 26 Kms (Marine Drive to Rishikesh), 35 Kms (Kaudiyala to Rishikesh), 70 Kms (Devprayag to Rishikesh)
2. How many meals would be provided: Generally camps quote for 3 meals including, one breakfast, one lunch and one Dinner.
3. Ask whether the camping site has its own rock climbing and rappelling location or they take you to a common rappelling location
4. Whether Bon fire has been included with Bar-be-cue (Generally camps offer 1+1 or 2+2 Veg+Non Veg plans)
5. What are the other activities available: like Night trek, fun kayaking, volley ball, badminton, cliff jump, body surfing etc…
Please note that most of the camps do not have electricity and there are only a few camps at shivpuri which have flush toilets…but they are no fun.
