Hi, Its not yet fully completed, but for most routes inside Delhi its already operating. What routes are you looking forward to?
There are 3 Metro lines in Delhi, As I have picked these details from the DMRC website so u can trust it to be true to the time when the site would have been last updated
I have also seen these ppl building metro infra around gurgaon but as far as agra is concerned it would really take years for that..
For Agra I would suggest u take the shatabdi which is a good AC train Train (Train No2002) satabdi express leaves New Delhi at 0615 Hrs arrives at Agra at 0812 (only around 2 hrs). U can book tickets for the same online at irctc.co.in .

The 8.5 kms section between Shahdara and Tis Hazari was the first Delhi Metro section to become operational and was inaugurated on 24th December 2002. The Inderlok – Rithala section became operational on 31st March 2004.
This line is fully operational.
Line 2 (Vishwa Vidyalaya – Central Secretariat)

Kashmere Gate – Central Sectt. – July 2005

Name of Stations: Vishwa Vidyalaya, Vidhan Sabha, Civil Lines, Kashmere Gate, Delhi Main, Chawri Bazar, New Delhi, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk and Central Sectt.
A 4 Km section of this line between Vishwa Vidyalaya and Kashmere Gate commenced commercial operations from 20th Dec, 2004. The next section between Kashmere Gate and Central Secretariat (7 Kms) opened for the public from 3rd July, 2005.
This line is fully operational.
Line 3 (Indraprastha – Barakhamba Road – Dwarka)
